Terms and Conditions
All bookings are made in accordance with the following:
Payment
Deposit
Whoever makes the booking will do so on behalf of all the members of their group and is responsible to Golf Made Simple in Scotland for all associated payments.
When you have accepted the golf tour, which will be arranged for you, a 20% deposit will be required. This deposit may be higher depending on the accommodation and golf courses selected. If so you will be advised accordingly at the time of the booking.
When the deposit has been received confirmation of your booking will be given along with an agenda for your golf package. At this point your binding contract will come into existence. You must check the details carefully and ensure that all the information is correct.
If you are making a booking within 8 weeks of your arrival date then the full payment will be required at the outset.
Final Balance
Every effort will be made to remind you when the final payment is due but in any case it is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure the final payment is made.
Final payment must be received no later than 8 weeks before the arrival date. Failure to do so could result in the booking being cancelled in full. In this event the deposit will not be returned.
Method Of Payment
The following methods of payment are acceptable: Cheques, bankers draft and by CHAPS payment (enables you to make a same day value payment).
Cheques should be made payable to Golf Made Simple in Scotland but please ensure you write the booking reference clearly on the reverse.
Booking Alterations Made By Yourself
More Than 8 Weeks Before Arrival
Every effort will be made to cater for any changes you wish to make to your golf tour package. Changes must be recorded in writing to Golf Made Simple in Scotland giving the amended details and can only be written by the person responsible for the original booking. Deposits and other money already paid may be lost depending on the situation.
Within 8 Weeks
This will be treated as a cancellation and the relevant charges will apply:
Cancellation Charges
More than 8 weeks before arrival: Deposit Only.
4 - 8 weeks before arrival: 50% of total cost.
4 weeks or less before arrival: 100% of total cost.
If cancelling or amending the booking an odd number remains, a single room supplement may be required.
Booking Alterations Made By Golf Made Simple In Scotland
Your tour will only be cancelled if the final payment has not been received by the due date or for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Responsibility cannot be accepted by Golf Made Simple in Scotland for changes to your golf tour package as a result of inclement weather.
The descriptions for accommodations, golf courses etc that are advertised are accurate as far as can be reasonably expected. If facilities change or are withdrawn every effort will be made to inform you as soon as possible. Golf Made Simple in Scotland cannot be held responsible for changes to facilities which we have not been made aware of.
Self Drive Vehicle Hire
If a self drive vehicle hire is required then prices will be quoted in GBP, which includes VAT and Insurance, based on a single named driver.
Driver must be 25 years or over with at least 2 years driving experience. A clean driving licence is required (minor offences may be allowable) and this along with a passport and credit/debit card will be needed for ID purposes.
A deposit may be required when receiving the vehicle. This will be returned at the end of the tour if all is well and the fuel used is replaced to the same level.
The following listed options, which you may require, carry an additional charge over and above your quotation:
- Collision Damage Waiver - In the unfortunate event of an accident, the insurance covers all but an excess, which must be paid by the driver. Typically this could be 500 - 750 GBP. The CDW can be paid to either reduce or remove the excess.
- Late Arrival - On occasion an additional sum may be required if you arrive or depart outwith normal working hours.
- Additional driver(s) - A small additional charge is required if you wish to name more than one driver.
- Manual Transmission - All prices quoted are based on vehicles with manual transmission unless otherwise stated.
Golf Made Simple in Scotland will select the vehicle and package best suited to your individual requirements and thus minimising the cost.
Force Majeure
Golf Made Simple in Scotland cannot be held responsible or pay compensation as a result of events such as war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather.
Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities
For your own protection please make sure you take out insurance cover in case of cancellation, loss or damage of luggage/property, personal injury, accident or illness.
Please also ensure that each member of your group has all the relevant passports, visas and health certificates.
Golf handicap certificates are required along with driver's licences if applicable and any other travel documentation. Golf Made Simple in Scotland will not be held responsible for any issue, which may arise as a result of inadequate documentation.
If you do have a problem while on your tour please notify the service provider (accommodation, golf course or transport company). Please then inform Golf Made Simple in Scotland in order to assist in resolving the matter. If a successful conclusion is not reached then a letter must be written within 2 weeks otherwise you effectively remove your right to any claim, which may have arisen.
Our Responsibilities
Golf Made Simple in Scotland shall accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused by employees of the company. Every effort will be made to help if or when a dispute occurs with independent third parties.
However, responsibility cannot be accepted for any damage, loss, injury or delay at the accommodation or golf course and similarly with defects to transport vehicles and/or by the negligence of the vehicle driver.
Golf Made Simple in Scotland shall not be responsible for, or accept liability for death, personal injury or illness caused to you or to any member of your group.
